CBSA needs more time to investigate dumping and subsidizing of steel racks from China

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced it has extended the preliminary phase of the investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of steel racks originating in or exported from China.

Under normal circumstances, the preliminary stage of these types of investigations shall be completed within 90 days of the date of initiation. However, due to the variety of goods involved and the difficulty of obtaining satisfactory evidence in the investigations, the period has been extended to 135 days.

The decision to issue preliminary determinations or to terminate the investigations with respect to some or all of the goods will be made on or before September 2, 2026.
