More time needed in investigation of dumping and subsidizing of forged grinding media from China

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced it has extended the preliminary phase of the investigation respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of forged grinding media originating in or exported from China.

Under normal circumstances, the preliminary stage of these types of investigations shall be completed within 90 days of the date of initiation. However, due to the complexity or novelty of the issues presented in the investigations and the number of persons involved, the period has been extended to 135 days.

The decision to issue preliminary determinations or to terminate the investigations with respect to some or all of the goods will be made on or before May 25, 2026
