CBSA initiates dumping/subsidizing investigations on forged grinding media from China
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of forged grinding media originating in or exported from China.
The investigations follow a complaint filed by a Canadian manufacturer in British Columbia.
In the next step of the investigations the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will determine, by March 11, 2026, whether the imports are harming Canadian producers.
Concurrently, the CBSA will investigate whether the imports are being sold in Canada at unfair prices and/or are being subsidized, and will make a preliminary decision by April 9, 2026.
Provisional anti-dumping/countervailing duties could eventually apply to importations of the goods under investigation.
