Tribunal maintains injury finding on hot-rolled carbon steel plate from six countries
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it continued its order made in March 2020 concerning the dumping of hot-rolled carbon steel plate from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and Korea.
The Tribunal found that the expiry of the order was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry. As such, the Tribunal continued its order.
Back in July 2025 the Canada Border Services Agency had determined that the expiry of the order was is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping.
Following the Tribunal's decision to continue it's order the Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on these goods from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and Korea.
