CBSA issues dumping determination on carbon and alloy steel wire from several countries
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping respecting certain carbon and alloy steel wire originating in or exported from China, Chinese Taipei, India, Italy, Malaysia, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam.
Provisional duties at rates ranging from 3.5% to 138.6% will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after September 4, 2025.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now formally determine, by January 2, 2026, if the dumping is causing prejudice to Canadian industry.
