You are the first person our clients and visitors meet. You welcome visitors and direct calls, handle mail and shipments, keep files up to date and support the team with various administrative tasks. We are looking for someone organized, friendly and comfortable in both French and English.
You prepare and submit customs declarations for our clients, review their commercial documents and follow up with the CBSA and other government departments until the goods are released. Training in international trade or experience in customs brokerage is an asset.
You organize our clients’ shipments by air, sea and truck: quote requests, carrier bookings, document preparation and tracking through to delivery. You enjoy solving problems, you are thorough, and you communicate easily in both French and English.
You analyze our clients’ products to determine their tariff classification under the Harmonized System, their origin and the applicable free trade agreements. You advise clients and colleagues on compliance matters. Experience in tariff classification or the Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation is preferred.
