U.S. Commission finds imports of structural steel from Canada hurt U.S. industry

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) announced that it had found a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of fabricated structural steel from Canada, China, and Mexico that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value.

Following the Commission's affirmative determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue with its antidumping and countervailing duty investigations concerning imports of this product from Canada, China, and Mexico

The Department's preliminary countervailing duty determinations are due on or about May 1, 2019, and its preliminary antidumping duty determinations are due on or about July 15, 2019.
